September Events at Austin Convention Center Include Jurassic Quest, Safety Conference, FinCon, IDEA 2021

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Convention Center is hosting five scheduled events during September 2021. The events include Jurassic Quest 2021, the Safety 2021 Professional Development Conference & Exposition, FinCon 2021, Seimens Meeting, and the IDEA 2021 Annual Conference and Trade Show.

One of North America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur events, Jurassic Quest 2021 is scheduled from Sept. 3-6, 2021 at the Austin Convention Center. Guest walk through different dinosaur time periods, among the 100 true to life-size animatronic dinosaurs, as part of the interactive event. Attendees can dig up fossils, ride their favorite dinosaur or enjoy the dinosaur-themed playland and baby dinosaur show.

The Safety 2021 - Professional Development Conference, hosted by the American Society of Safety Professionals, (ASSP) is scheduled from Sept. 13-15, 2021, at the Austin Convention Center. The hybrid conference will feature both online and in-person educational sessions for ASSP members that protect workers around the globe and find solutions to workplace safety challenges.

FinCon 2021, hosted by PT Money Conferences, is scheduled from Sept. 22-25, 2021 at the Austin Convention Center. The hybrid online and in-person digital marketing event is geared towards those who are creating Personal Finance content on the internet. The event includes panels and workshops on money-related content, personal finance, and investing.

From Sept. 28-29, the Siemens Meeting is scheduled at the Austin Convention Center along with the IDEA 2021 Annual Conference & Trade Show by International District Energy Association (IDEA). The IDEA 2021 hybrid conference boasts over 100 expert energy field presenters from the public, private sectors, all working in cities, communities, hospitals, military bases, campuses, and airports. The trade show features the newest technology, equipment, and best practices in the district energy industry.

The Austin Convention Center and Palmer Events Center are operated by the Austin Convention Center Department (ACCD), a division of the City of Austin. The Austin Convention Center Department continues to adhere to all City of Austin, Travis County, State of Texas, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations.

The City of Austin has issued a mask mandate ordinance (effective Aug. 12, 2021). Masks are to be worn regardless of vaccination status in or on City property, and on property the City owns, manages, or controls. This includes the Austin Convention Center and the Palmer Events Center. Health screenings and temperature checks upon entry are not required but are available as optional services per client request.
