January Events at Austin Convention Center: Potato Expo, Austin Home Show, Brick Fest, Junior and NCAA Volleyball, SXSW Volunteer Calls, and TASA

AUSTIN, Texas – January 2024 marks a bustling start at the Austin Convention Center, with a lineup of eight events. These include the Central Texas Power League, Potato Expo, Austin Home Show, Brick Fest Live, Junior and Collegiate Volleyball, SXSW Crew Managers and Volunteer Calls, the SHI Showcase, and the TASA Midwinter Conference. Additionally, the venue was secured for one private business event.

The first volleyball tournament of the 2024 Central Texas Power League is set to occur on January 6-7 at the Austin Convention Center. Organized by Austin Junior Volleyball (AJV), this two-day junior girls’ volleyball event will feature bracket play and power pools. The tournament includes divisions spanning ages 11 to 17.

The Potato Expo 2024 is slated to be held at the Austin Convention Center from January 10-12. The conference and trade show is recognized as one of the most significant annual gatherings in the North American potato industry. Organized by the National Potato Council, the expo will unite suppliers, growers, exhibitors, and industry experts, providing a platform for collaboration and discussion on various topics and trends within the potato industry.

The Austin Home Show is scheduled to take place at the Austin Convention Center from January 13-14. This event showcases a diverse array of home improvement professionals, interactive displays, environments, and exhibitors. It caters to homeowners and those keen on updating and remodeling their living spaces.

Brick Fest Live is scheduled at the Austin Convention Center from January 13-14. Individuals of all ages, including adults, children, Lego enthusiasts, and advanced builders, are invited to engage in interactive activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness impressive large creations, life-size models, and imaginative sculptures at the event.

Austin Junior Volleyball will be hosting three exciting events at the Austin Convention Center from January 18-21. This includes The Lone Star Classic 18s, the Southwest Boys Classic National Qualifier (12s-18s), and the Collegiate Challenge. The Collegiate Challenge is staged for intense matches featuring NCAA-ranked college men’s teams, including top-ranked UCLA, No. 3 ranked Penn State, No. 7 ranked Ohio State, No. 9 Stanford, No. 11 Ball State, and No. 12 USC.

SXSW is hosting a Crew Manager Meeting and Volunteer Calls from January 21-22, at the Austin Convention Center.

The SHI 2024 Corporate Kick Off Partner Showcase is scheduled at the Austin Convention Center on January 24. SHI is a leading technologies hardware, software vendor, and service provider.

From January 27-31, the 2024 TASA Midwinter Conference on Education is scheduled at the Austin Convention Center. The popular conference and exhibit for Texas school leaders, superintendents, curriculum specialists, administrators, and principals is hosted by the Texas Association of School Administrators.
