Austin Convention Center hosts Austin Boat Show, Dell Children's Gala, more in Jan. 2018

The holidays are behind us and the Austin Convention Center revs into high gear! From conferences to conventions, many different events are sure to keep the LEED® Gold-certified facility humming.

The Austin Boat Show returns to the Austin Convention Center on January 18, running through January 21. Expected attendance is over 15,000. For more information, go to www.austinboatshow.com. In addition, the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) hosts their 2018 TASA Administrators’ Midwinter Conference on Education at the Austin Convention Center from January 28 through January 31. On January 27, the Children’s Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas hosts the DELL Children’s Gala 2018. Expected attendance is 900. For more details, go to www.supportdellchildrens.org. Also, South by Southwest (SXSW)’s 2018 SXSW Volunteer Call takes place on January 21 and January 27. For more details, go to (www.sxsw.com).

Other events at the Austin Convention Center in January include Conley Sports Productions, LLC’s 2018 3M Half Marathon Expo on January 19 and January 20 (www.3mhalfmarathon.com); the American Meteorology Society’s 2018 Annual Meeting from January 6 through January 11 (www.annual.ametsoc.org/2018); and the 2018 Build Expo on January 24 and January 25 (www.buildexpousa.com).

A look ahead to February reveals seven different events scheduled at the Austin Convention Center.

Over ten million people have attended 6,000+ events, including over 900 conventions, at the LEED® Gold-certified Austin Convention Center since it opened in 1992.
