“Habitat: Leaves” dissolves the taxonomic barriers between animals, plants and other organisms like fungi with reverence and humor. The abstracted bioforms can be seen as colonial organisms, creatures that share traits from multiple gene pools or the lacy forms left from the process of decay. Increasing the scale of microscopic and other underdog lifeforms elevates their value in the pantheon of species and promotes awareness of the ethical and ecological implications of a hierarchy of species. What do you see, and what do they hold for you?
