Beginning with Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals’ 2011 HITEC, most of the convention groups represent repeat business to the convention center. HITEC begins moving into the facility on June 2nd for their June 20-23 event, touted as the “World’s Largest Hospitality Technology Show.” The International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate, has scheduled their Indoor Air Conference for the first time at the convention center, June 6-10. The Texas Association of Secondary School Principals is holding their annual TASSP Summer Workshop, June 15-17, moving out just before HITEC begins their event.

July brings the Texas PTA in town for their Summer Convention, July 8-10. The Texas Girls Coaches Association, follows with their July 13-15 annual convention. The Department of State Health Services’ 2011 Texas Behavioral Health Institute is  scheduled July 18-22, while the Association of Texas Professional Educators’ 2011 ATPE Summit is July 20-23.  Delta Sigma Theta’s Regional Conference is scheduled July 21-23 and National Instrument’s annual NI Week begins July 29, concluding Aug. 4. The second August convention is The Ecological Society of America’s Annual Meeting, Aug. 8-12.

There are also four conferences and two consumer shows and a trade show scheduled during the summer months, along with the Austin Sports Commission’s Texas Gridiron Kickoff luncheon, a traditionally well-attended event by University of Texas faithful fans.
